WESTERN IOWA 02/08/08 News Flash IPART XTEAM UPDATE 02/15/2008 Harlan, Iowa UFO Investigation Saturday, February 9th, 2008 Sitting at his kitchen table having his first cup of coffee that cold It was early in the morning, approximately 6:30 am when he glanced out his kitchen window, noticing what appeared to be a meteor streaking through the sky from the East, and it was heading straight for him! Fascinated, he stood there at his kitchen window watching in amazement as the meteor grew larger and larger, gradually beginning to take form. That was when he noticed the second one. "I thought that they were meteor's, as fast as they were going," Mr. (x) tells IPART X-Team Investigators Scott Youngquist, Lynne Goodwin, and Michael Hamilton, "But when they began to slow down I could tell that they weren't meteors, but something more spherically shaped. They weren't aircraft either, I can tell you that, as I'm an aircraft afficionado of sorts. Nothing manmade can move the way that these things moved." What Mr. (x) had thought to be a meteor streaking out of the sky toward him turned out to be two upside down bowl shaped objects. Clearly visible from his kitchen window in the rear of his house, and they were hovering across his field, directly over his neighbor's farm. As he watched, he noticed them beginning to move slowly and methodically back and forth over his neighbors land. "I'd never seen anything like this, so I called my wife." Mr. (x) states. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, and needed to tell someone about it while it was happening. After watching for a bit, he decided to take a photo of the craft. It being such a cold morning, he attempted to snap a photo of the two craft through his kitchen window as they continued their methodical trek back and forth over the neighbors land behind his house. After that, he continued to watch in amazement until about 7:00 am when the two objects, apparently having completed their survey of the land abruptly took off. Unfortunately, due to the reflection from the flash on the glass window, the picture of the UFO's didn't turn out, but rather resulted in getting a reflection of his kitchen layout "It was right as the sun was coming up." Mr. (x) recollects. He says that it was almost as if they were trying to avoid the light in an attempt to not be seen. "I don't know for sure if the reason was the sun, but they shot into the southeastern sky just as they had come in, just like a meteor." When questioned as to whether or not he thought these objects may have been weather balloons or some sort of other man-made machinations, he insisted that it couldn't have been. "There was a pretty steady wind blowing out there, and the two objects were precisely set apart from each other. During the entire time that they were hovering there they maintained a perfect space apart. There's no way a pair of weather balloons could have sustained such an exact distance with the wind for that long of a time." A bit later on in the afternoon, Mr. (x) states that he called the Sherriff's Office to see if anyone else in town had reported seeing anything unusual in the skies around Harlan that morning. "The Sherriff said that no one had called in, so I didn't know what to do. I started looking on the internet, and did a search for UFO's. That's how I found you guys. (IPART)" Since his initial contact with IPART, Mr. (x) has done a bit more checking around. Specifically, he attempted to contact the neighbor over whose house these unidentified craft were hovering. "I called them and found out that they were not in town that day. They were on vacation but someone else was staying there watching their house. I was able to question her about that day a little bit, but she never saw anything happen." He goes on to add that the girl he spoke to on the phone stated that she wasn't even awake until roughly 9:00am that morning, well past the time of the sighting. To her knowledge, everything appeared to be in order around the house as well. In addition to contacting his neighbors and the local sheriff's office, Joe Leto Founder of IPART contact SAC in Omaha and Des Moines as well as Omaha traffic control for the local airports. Joe also has contacted both The Iowa DOT and the Life lite agencies to see if these were helicopters maneuvering in the area. So far all reports agree that no maneuvers or special training or ops were going on at the time of this sighting and talking with SAC on the morning of the said sighting thus they cleared all reports of aircraft lifting off later in the day and routine flights the night before. Thus its my opinion whatever MR. (X) saw could possibly been a UFO in western Iowa for sure. This case is still ongoing.. Joe Leto
Here's what I got... A Western, Iowa man was awake early in the morning at approximately 6:30 am, looking out his back window across the farmland. As he glanced out, he noticed what appeared to be a meteor shooting out of the North Eastern sky, but rather than the usual streak of a shooting star, it seemed to be heading toward him. After a while what became visible were two spherical objects which stopped directly over his neighbors farm. They moved back and forth over his neighbors farmland, constantly maintaining an equal distance from each other, as if searching for something. This behavior continued until about 7:00-7:15 am, when the two objects left heading into the sky towards the South East. Then as quickly as they came in, they shot out. The man is an aviation enthusiast, and he can assure us that whatever this was, it was not any airplane or balloon that he has ever seen before, and cites that if it had been a balloon, that the objects would not have been able to keep such an exact distance from eachother for such a long time, and that the wind would have changed one of the objects positioning. Our Source states that he is not a drinker, and was not under the influence at the time of the sighting. He states that he called the local Sherriff and asked if anyone else had reported a sighting this morning,(which no one had) and also that he had attempted to contact the air trffic control in Des Moines to ask them about local craft in the area. He was unable to get any cooperation from the Des Moines tower. Our Xteam ia heading to western Iowa 02/09/08 Joseph William Leto Founder IPART
